We didn't start in tech. We started in furniture — and along the way, restaurants became personal.
We didn't start in tech. We started in furniture — in Toronto, in 1999, with a husband-and-wife team from Hyderabad who understood hospitality from the inside out. Every dining room we furnished taught us how restaurants actually run: the pressure of service, the owner who's chef and accountant at once, the impossibility of slowing down.
By 2004, ARTeFAC was formally established — a group of companies spanning furniture, export, digital automation, and AI, always circling the same industry. ForRestaurants.ca spent over 20 years fitting out dining rooms across Canada, serving thousands of restaurant owners. Then we put the two together.

ForRestaurants.ai launched in North America to solve a problem every owner knows: they need to show up online, and they don't have the time, the crew, or the budget to do it. artefac.digital's AI automation carried us across all 50 U.S. states. India was the natural next chapter.
